Cook Up a Storm with Deborah Gray's 500 Vegan Dishes

500 Vegan DishesThis month, Struik Lifestyle brings you 500 Vegan Dishes by Deborah Gray.

Why eat a vegan diet? A vegan diet is healthy, low in fat, high in fibre and rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Vegans tend to eat more whole grains and are less dependent on processed foods. Therefore, the vegan diet may well be the healthiest option of all. This book is proof that good for you can also be delicious and indulgent. Good for you can be interesting and creative. Good for you can also be great to share.

With such a creative and wide-ranging selection of recipes, you don’t have to be a vegan to appreciate this book. Many people are opting to eat less meat, processed food and dairy as part of a healthy lifestyle, while others have a dairy intolerance and are looking for recipes that understand their needs. The recipes are based on a love of good food and exploit the natural goodness of fresh fruit and vegetables, beans and lentils. The book is packed with exciting and surprising ways to use tofu and other less familiar foods such as barley and polenta. Best of all, there is a range of creamy and sweet dishes that would impress even the most sceptical eater.

This new collection of vegan recipes provides tasty dishes for all occasions: breakfast treats, everyday and family meals, meals to impress friends, delightful desserts and fabulous baked treats.
